Schedule:
Monday to Friday | 9 AM – 5 PM MST (with flexibility)
Location:
Remote (U.S. accounting experience required)
About the Role
Are you an experienced and detail-driven accountant looking to take ownership of financial operations across multiple entities? We’re looking for a
Senior Accountant
to manage the books for a lending company, an SEC-registered RIA, an insurance company, and a private fund. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of GAAP, investment accounting, and experience in managing complex financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements
Ensure compliance with SEC and insurance regulations
Oversee private fund reporting, including investor statements and capital transactions
General Ledger & Month-End Close
Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
Lending & Investment Accounting
Manage loan accounting, including interest recognition and amortization
Ensure accurate revenue recognition across entities

Process Improvement & Internal Controls
Identify and implement process efficiencies
Maintain and enforce internal controls
Tax & Audit Support
Support in federal tax filings and 1099 preparation
Assist in audits and due diligence processes with accurate documentation
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in finance, lending, investment, or insurance
Experience with partnership accounting and private funds is a plus
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in
QuickBooks Online
and
Excel
QuickBooks is a must!
Knowledge of
GAAP , NAV calculations, and investment/lending accounting
Comfortable managing multiple sets of books
Soft Skills
Extremely detail-oriented and organized
Strong written communication (English fluency required)
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
